Anchorage Mushing District "Sled Dogs Downtown" Scavenger Hunt & Auction Fundraiser

Due to restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic the 2021 World Championship Sled Dog races and Iditarod Ceremonial Start are canceled. To keep the sled dog racing spirit alive, a scavenger hunt to find the creative sled dogs prepared by 17 artists in 14 Downtown businesses and the Fur Rondy shop is on March 3-6.

Teams of between 1-4 can participate in the scavenger hunt from Wednesday, March 3 - Saturday, March 6. Team fees are $10 per team member. When you register, you'll receive a confirmation email containing the password you need to access the Goose Chase App. A maximum of 50 teams may participate!

Scavenger Hunt Prizes

1st Prize: Gift Certificates to Alaska Mint , Big Rays, Snow City & Cabin Fever

2nd Prize: Gift Certificates to Once in a Blue Moose, Sara’s Gift Cache + Rondy/Mushing District Grab Bags for each team member

Following the scavenger hunt, live and silent auctions will be held for the dogs; stay tuned to this page for more details! In the meantime, vote for your favorite dog! Top 3 artists receiving the most votes will get gift certificates to local businesses!
