The Miners & Trappers are proud to celebrate the 67th Anniversary of furry faces, magnificent mustaches and more by presenting the Pardi-Gras "Frozen Frolic!" Bring your world class beard and extremely tolerant other half to compete in the “Mr. Fur Face Contest,” the Alaska State Championship Beard and Moustache Competition.
Take part in our new event, the "Ink and Ice" Tattoo Art Contest!
Compete for top honors in male and female works of body art in the following categories:
- Sleeves (arms or legs)
As an area Lions Club fundraiser, the Miners and Trappers Ball has raised several million dollars for local charities. Costumes not required, but do make the ball a very memorable experience.
Must be 21 and older to attend.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m., kicking off the "Ink and Ice" contest. Mr. Fur Face begins at 7:00 p.m. and the Costume Contest at 9:00 p.m.!
