GCI Snow Sculpture Competition
Feb. 22 - March 3, 2013
10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Head down to Ship Creek to check out all the 2013 Snow Sculptures and cast your vote for the People's Choice Award! Watch as artists of varying levels create miracles from 8ft x 8ft x 8ft blocks of compressed snow. Division 1 winners go to the US Nationals to compete as Alaska’s team. The Official Judging and Awards Ceremony will take place Sunday, February 24 at 11:00 a.m.*
LOCATION: The Snow Sculptures will be on display at Ship Creek, across from Comfort Inn, daily during Fur Rondy from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (View on Map)
Enter the Competition
Download the 2013 ENTRY FORM and submit with payment. Entries are due or postmarked by Jan. 15, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Please note, late entries will not be accepted, and a sketch or drawing of your proposed sculpture, along with its title, must accompany your entry or it will not be considered for competition.

DIVISIONS
DIVISIONS I: Three-member team, age 21 or older (or with at least one adult team member). $50 per team. Winners must be available to compete in 2013 National Snow Sculpture Competition, airfare provided.
Divisions II-V: There is no requirement for number of team members but you must have at least one adult member or supervisor of a minimum age of 21. DIVISION II: Junior and Senior High School, 13 to 21 years old. One supervising adult for every seven (7) teenagers. $35 per team
DIVISION III: Elementary School, under 13 years old. One supervising adult (21 or older) for every five (5) children. $25 per team
DIVISION IV: * Family $25 per team * Corporate $100 per team
DIVISION V: Solo, 18 years or older. $35 per entry
