Come on out and see these lovingly restored vintage sleds from all over Alaska as they parade down Fourth Avenue between C and H Streets!
Running of the Reindeer - registration closed
KWHL 106.5, the Bob & Mark Show and Fur Rondy present the 6th annual Rondy Running of the Reindeer, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 4 p.m. This internationally acclaimed event is a fundraiser for Armed Services YMCA and Toys for Tots, and is a great way to help Alaskans! Participants come from across the globe to see if they can outrun the reindeer. Join the world and Alaska by running or watching this favorite Rondy event sponsored by Specialty Truck and Auto, Inc.
World Championship Outdoor Hockey Tournament - registration closed
Eighteen years of outdoor hockey competition with a great family atmosphere. Throw in a couple of grills and you’ve got one heck of a party!
Yukigassen Tournament - registration closed
2013 marks year three of this new favorite Rondy event. Straight from Japan, this team event conjures up old memories or good old fashion fun. Yukigassen is a hybrid of capture the flag, paint ball and snowball fights. Teams are selected on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration closes when the allocated team slots are filled or on Feb. 20, 2013.
Snowshoe Softball Tournament - registration closed
Have you heard the one about the man in a tutu and snowshoes playing softball? No, really. This is Alaska’s version of the company softball team! Teams are selected on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration closes when the allocated team slots are filled or on Feb. 15, 2013.
Frostbite Footrace and Costumed Fun Run - registration closed
Dress up and hit the pavement, Saturday, Feb. 23 at 9:30 a.m. for the 5k race or 2.5K Fun Run. Don a costume for a chance to win great prizes! Register online by 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20.
World's Largest Outhouse Races - registration closed
Compete for trophies and cash prizes in one of four divisions – Unlimited, Traditional, Youth, and Ladies of the Throne. Other trophies to be awarded are: Grand Champion, Best Theme, Most Colorful, People’s Choice, Cleanest, Most Realistic, Best Engineered, Best Architecture, and Red Lantern. Don’t be number two in this race to the finish line! Get out your porto-potties, strap a couple skis to the bottom of them and head down to Fourth Avenue to prove you truly are king or queen of your throne. The race course will be a two lane course with two teams racing each other down and back around a pylon.

GCI Snow Sculpture Competition - registration closed
To enter the competition, download and print the 2013 entry form and submit with payment. Entries are due or postmarked by Jan. 15, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Sculpture construction will commence on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Construction must be completed by 10 a.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013.Please note, late entries will not be accepted, and a sketch or drawing of your proposed sculpture, along with its title, must accompany your entry or it will not be considered for competition.
2013 All Alaskan Basketball Classic - event cancelled

Rondy Grand Parade - registration closed
Keep the spirit of Alaska alive by showing your civic pride and participating in the 2013 parade, which is slated for Saturday, Feb. 23, at 10:30 am. We are now taking applications. There are two ways to register. Register online or print the application package and mail in with payment. The theme of the 2013 Fur Rondy Grand Parade will be Cartoons.
Alaska Hold'em Tournament of Champions
Players qualify at local clubs and organizations in and around Anchorage to participate in the Tournament of Champions the last Saturday of Rondy at the Egan Center during Fur Rondy.
