We welcome you to “Rondy Reimagined 2021”! This year, Fur Rondy is working to uphold our 86-year winter festival tradition – with a number of alterations to ensure that we are upholding health mandates during the Covid19 pandemic. Our goal is to host a festival that, will be a quality experience for everyone – volunteers, participants, and spectators alike. Most of our events this year will be outdoors, with a few indoor events that have been altered for community safety.

Our goal is to have a final list of events posted on the website by January 30, 2021. All events will be advertised to the public starting in early February. While there will be a schedule of posted events, all are pending for final review and approval by the MOA Health Department

Partners and Rondy events alike will focus on safety – and upholding best practices with respect throughout the festival and respect to others. This includes:

  1. FACE MASKS or FACE SHIELDS at INDOOR events are required. OUTDOOR events face masks are recommended to be worn for non-playing participants, spectators, and volunteers.
  2. SOCIAL DISTANCING maintained at all events – be they in or out of doors
  3. HAND SANITATION AND FREQUENT WASHING – will be encouraged when possible or to wear gloves when outside
  4. RESPECT TO OTHERS – By asking others to be respectful and help comply with even guidelines acting as Rondy ambassadors of safety.

We are aware that health mandates are subject to change but have committed to a conservative approach considering recent Anchorage city goals to tamp down viral transmission and to set an example of cautious reopening. We want our businesses to stay open, and to flourish once again. For this festival to be successful, please be a part of our commitment!

Volunteers have been the life blood of Rondy allowing for awesome event experiences and memories. Rondy has also been partners to over 40 nonprofit organizations to support their income through event partnerships and has been a consistent boost to the economy during a season that our businesses are not entertaining tourists. Our city, our economy, and our community spirit needs a Rondy – and we need all of you, pulling with us, to ensure that we are all providing a good example!

Thank you for being a part of Rondy 2021!
