Fur Rendezvous is 10-12 days of “Spring Break” fun managed by Greater Anchorage Inc the last week of February and first week of March. Viewers should note that the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race TM is not a Fur Rendezvous event but an event held on the first Saturday of March concurrently with Fur Rendezvous events. It is managed by the Iditarod Race Committee. Both of our organizers embrace our history, the sled dogs and Alaska’s state sport of dog mushing.
